On April 29th, CivicAction and IBM Canada hosted a design thinking workshop at MaRS Discovery District, where we put people at the centre of solutions for Preparing for the Future of Work and Unlocking Inclusive Cities. Practitioners from the design thinking community collaborated with residents and experts to help CivicAction shape a better region for all.
The day kicked off with a panel discussion to set the stage for a day of rolling up our sleeves and tapping into our creativity to surface solutions around preparing for the impact of technology on our workforce and making leadership more reflective of our diverse population.
To inform their knowledge of the issues, attendees also got to hear from all-star leaders who tackle these problems every day, including:
The Honourable Patty Hajdu
Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour
