Toronto Summit 2007: Making Big Things Happen convened over 600 invited civic leaders - from the business, labour and the non-profit sectors, as well as from all levels of government - to discuss key social, economic and environmental challenges facing the Toronto region and to help to develop a new action plan for addressing them.
The 2007 Summit revisited some topics from earlier Summits and added new challenges of concern, in each case identifying how the Alliance and its partners could advance solutions. The 2007 Summit resulted in the creation of Greening Greater Toronto, aimed at improving the environmental future of the Toronto region, and DiverseCity: The Greater Toronto Leadership Project, focused on accelerating the racial and cultural diversity of our business, non-profit and government leadership.
