DURHAM — Chris Penrose and his wife describe their Pickering neighbourhood as “amazing” and would like to keep their young family there.

Mr. Penrose is a local champion for the Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance’s 32 Reasons to Invest campaign, which launched on Nov. 1.
It highlights the need for a better regional transportation network in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, listing 32 reasons ranging from reduced carbon emissions to improved quality of life.
The group is urging local residents and politicians to go online and sign the “Your32 Pledge to Get a Move On,” which calls for transportation funding that is “dedicated, efficient, transparent, accountable, regional, fair and sustainable.”
